Dylan Brainard

Dylan grew up in Philadelphia, outside of any specific religion, but with a deep interest in the spiritual world. In first grade, she talked her Quaker teacher into bringing her to a Friends meeting, which sparked a life-long study of other people’s faiths. As a child, Dylan attended services with anyone who would take her. She received her undergraduate degree in Comparative Religion. During college, she founded a student group focused on inter-faith collaboration and education, and also had the opportunity to live with a Hindu family while studying in Southern India. Dylan is a veteran of the US Army Medical Service Corps and currently works as a technical theater consultant, grant writer, and glass blowing assistant. She is also pursuing an MS in Mental Health Counseling.

Dylan’s personal spiritual practice is eclectic, drawing heavily from the tenets of Buddhism and Taoism, while also finding beauty and truth in myriad traditions. She best experiences mystical resonance with the divine through communion with nature. Dylan’s mission is to help bridge cultural, religious, and philosophical divides, nurturing interpersonal connection through exploration of the spirit that unites us all. In her free time, Dylan can often be found up in a tree.
