Interspiritual Ecology

What is Interspiritual Ecology?

“Interspiritual Ecology is a way of seeing and living that invites people of different spiritual traditions to learn from one another’s ecological wisdom while remaining rooted in reverence for the living Earth. It affirms that the Earth is sacred, that human beings belong within a wider community of life, and that ancient and diverse traditions hold wisdom urgently needed for the healing of our planet today.”

“When I use the term Interspiritual Ecology, I mean a way of understanding and living in the world that brings people of different spiritual traditions into respectful relationship with one another and with the Earth. It begins from the conviction that the Earth is living, sacred, and worthy of reverence, and that many traditions carry wisdom about how human beings may live well within the wider community of life. Interspiritual Ecology names the work of remembering, embodying, and sharing such wisdom across traditions for the healing and flourishing of our planet.”
